May 26, 2025 – The investment being made by Oracle in the artificial intelligence (AI) industry includes buying about 400,000 of Nvidia’s GB200 AI chips for a whopping $40 billion. These chips will be incorporated into a new data center in Abilene, Texas, which is constructed in joint venture with OpenAI. It features in the Stargate Project, a $500 billion megaproject to improve AI infrastructure throughout the U.S.
